I used Money Supermarket to gain holiday money advice. I think I lost out on exchange rates by listening to them. The companies they list are well known companies. I found my local agent was giving better exchange rates than any of the companies listed on the money supermarket web site. However Money Supermarket said use plastic, only take a small amount of cash, so I did. I estimate I would have been almost £70 better off had I purchased from my local agent.
