I went with 10 guests and the smothered steak should have been cooked to medium rare, but still looked raw. sent back twice to be re cooked, but was still not cooked to satisfaction.
The simply chicken meal was delivered completely burnt and was sent back.
I thought the whole experience was awful, i would not recommend this venue to any of my friends, and will not be taking my family to a Harvester for a celebration birthday party meal again.

Paid £8.50 for the Christmas Menu.
Starter was mushrooms - these were wet and horrible
Main was turkey - 2 slices of tasteless meat and cold brussel sprouts. Ordered some more, they were hot and horrible.
Christmas pudding - lost interest at this stage!

We sometimes take our great, great nephews aged 6 and 4years old here to eat, they too enjoy their visits. We say well done to the Harvester staff in Springfield Road Chelmsford. Long may the excellent service and food ...

I experienced poor service, salad cart not offered but was apparently listed on Christmas flyer.
Staff seemed not to be aware of menu content. When I said that soup was too cheesy, was told that there was no cheese in soup described as Parsnip with parmesan!
Main course appeared to be reheated, gelatinous brown goo spread over turkey may once have been gravy, carrot batons warm but rubbery and sprouts had a dry exterior.
Could not reccommend any aspect of this 'Christmas ...
